Bad Days
The big travel day yesterday, it turns out, wasn’t already complicated enough. When Pippa and I got to Delta’s check-in kiosks at Logan, we noted that our flight was delayed, and we were instructed to go to Kiosk Assistance. Like window shopping, if Wal-Mart had windows. I knew what Wall road was predicting: retailers would lose money every winter long. I did look an overall sense of desperation coming from the greeters and thei

The final major search marketing conference of 2008 opens next week when the venerable Search Engine Strategies Conference rolls into the Chicago Hilton next Monday. The smallest of the three US-based SES shows, SES Chicago sports a unique character that makes it a special week for speakers and attendees. It’s the show I look forward to most each year for a number of reasons. SES Chicago is considered the most intimate of every big shows on the annual circuit. The sense of urgency that surrou

New Rule — No More Pictures of Rosie O’Donnell
Oh dear god. These are just random downtown building tops and may or may not be part of the Providence Preservation Society’s Downtown Stroll, but I just have to push that picture of Ms. O’D in drag down, down, down (no matter how amusing Mr. Roch is). Giants receiver Plaxico Burress turns himself into police; Mayor Bloomberg has tough words for Plaxico
Today, Giants star WR Plaxico Burress turned himself into police for weapons possession charges after shooting himself at a Manhattan nightclub this past Thanksgiving weekend. He was charged with two felony weapons charges. The Giants are sick of Burress, despite the adore they have for his talent. I don't expect the Giants to honor his five year contract that they rewarded him with this past off-season. You can expect the Giants to clip their star and a lot of money has been lost with this sit
